Collaboration and Support
Collaboration between the teachers in the classroom, the occupational therapist, and the speech language therapist means that assessment and success of all children in the classroom is an on-going process. Because we work closely and consult on a daily basis about the student’s progress in the classroom, we are able to make adjustments to the curriculum as needed to ensure that all of the specific needs of each child are being accommodated.
Partnership with families is a very important component of our inclusion classrooms and your involvement is essential to the success of our program. Updating all families on a weekly basis about teaching strategies and the progress the class is making is a priority in our school. Family concerns and feedback are highly regarded and help us effectively accommodate your child’s needs.
